Times Square Bomber throws his life away at 30… and for nothing. Altruism, the philosophy of sacrifice, suffering and blood. To sacrifice ones life for a cause above ones self, when the entity representing that cause is nonexistent, is irrational. The worst punishment for him is his moment of realization and understanding that the philosophy he embraced took his freedom and liberty forever, while other like-minded idiots cheer from a safe distance. For this reason, the concepts of Individualism and Rational Self Interest are the only cures for what plagues these young minds.

Night of the Living Dumb!
Sarah Palin’s single digit IQ was on full display at the SRLC in New Orleans as it is anytime she pontificates her banal political philosophy. Consisting almost entirely on the premiss of Better Government Through Intolerance, the half-baked Alaskan Governor gave the audience her predictable load of political dung with “Don’t Retreat, Reload” serving as Red-State-Meat for all Right-Winged-Lapel-Pinned-Zombies to chew on. This makes me hopeful for a Night of the Living Dead remake starring Tina Fey.

No Bridge Possible!
It has become increasingly clear to me over the last several years that the idea of a bridge between Red and Blue, North and South, Progressives and Conservatives is utterly hopeless. That assumes one would want such a bridge in the first place. And with Bukowski’s pronouncement in mind, “Oh hatred… the only thing that lasts!” let’s agree at least to go our seperate ways and be grateful the American experiment lasted as long as it did. Long enough to see Man on the Moon and an African American as President in a country where slavery was once practiced. Turn DC into one big museum and establish new capitols for Red and Blue America. And let’s do it before someone gets hurt.

Hillary criticized Obama when he suggested that in the 80’s the Republican party had the new ideas and that he had read up on Reagan’s presidency. We all know how the primary and general election turned out. Obama is willing to march to his own inner drummer… and as a drummer myself… I like that.
